A branch of the Russian Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language may be opened in Vietnam. The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced that the parties expressed their readiness to open a regional Russian language center, RIA Novosti reports.

The new center will develop and implement educational programs in the Russian language, as well as provide methodological assistance to Vietnamese teachers of Russian studies.

As part of the agreement, the Russian side will invite Russian specialists from Vietnam for internships, develop teaching aids in the Russian language for residents of the country, and organize competitions.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to hold the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Vietnamese and Russian Universities next year.
