Week of Russian Language and Literature opens in Turkey

The Week of Russian Language and Literature is held in Ankara, Turkey on November 15-19, 2022. The organizers of the event are Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian House in Ankara and the Russian Language Institute of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

Prominent Russian and Turkish experts in Russian language, literature, teaching of Russian as a second language attend the event. The participants discuss the current state and prospects of learning the Russian language in Turkey, as well as new methods of teaching RSL for bilinguals and foreigners, adults and children.

The School of a Young Translator to be the highlight of the Russian Language Week.  includes Well-known Turkish and Russian translators and linguists will talk about the key competencies of their occupations with school students. They will explain them how to cope with the difficulties of translating from Turkic languages ​​and identify "false friends" of a translator.

All events of the Week of the Russian Language and Literature in the Republic of Turkey to be held in person and remotely.
