If Russian citizens living in Estonia decide to join the participants in the military special operation, they won't be able to return to the country, RIA Novosti reports. According to Undersecretary for Internal Security, Migration and Public Order at Estonian Ministry of the Interior, Veiko Komussaar, they will be able to freely travel to the territory of Ukraine. The Estonian authorities did not impose a ban on Russians leaving the country, he noted. But they will no longer be allowed into Estonia.

Earlier, the head of the Estonian government, Kaya Kallas, supported the call of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky not to issue visas to Russians. She believes that visiting European countries is not a right, but a privilege for everyone. ''Stop issuing visas to Russians,'' the politician urged.

The ban on the entry for Russian citizens came into force on Monday, September 19, in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. It also applies to residents of Belarus. Restrictions apply to holders of Schengen visas issued in other countries.
