About three tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Russia by the Disha Russian-Indian Friendship Society, TASS reports. A batch of medicines produced by the Indian Panbio Pharm pharmaceutical company was sent to one of the first-aid posts of the Russian armed forces. Antibiotics, painkillers and other drugs were brought to Kursk.

According to Rameshwar Singh, who is the permanent head of the Disha society, its creator and initiator, no one asked them for help. Members of the society made this decision on their own initiative. He assured that the fund wants to support Russia. ''This is our duty,'' Singh said. He noted that the drugs are intended for Russian soldiers who are participating in the military special operation in Ukraine. Humanitarian фшв is sent to hospitals located in Russian near-border cities.

Singh added that the Society plans to send medicines to Belgorod and Bryansk hospitals as well.
