Andrey Tarkovsky's movies will be re-released next year, TASS reports. The experts of the Mosfilm studio are engaged in their restoration. The list of films includes "Stalker", "Solaris", "Andrey Rublev". According to Karen Shakhnazarov, who heads the film studio, the restoration will be completed by the end of 2021. He promised that some of the films will be broadcasted on TV.

Next year marks the director's 90th anniversary.  "Andrei Rublev" will be included in the program of several international film festivals to celebrate this date. The restoration of Tarkovsky's educational works will be carried out by VGIK Institute of Cinematography.

"Ivan's Childhood", "Andrei Rublev", "Mirror", "Solaris" have long become the classics of world cinema. They have become the standards of excellence for many filmmakers in Russia and abroad.

Screenings and festivals are planned for the director's anniversary, as well as the publication of a book about his life and work. Tarkovsky's lectures will be digitalized and posted online.
