Russia is going to be the guest of honor at the Vienna International Book Fair. This status was acquired as part of the Cross Year of Literature and Theater of the two countries, TASS reports.

The largest bookstore in Austria will open on November 10. Russian writers will present their works both in Russian and German and new editions of the Russian classics at the fair.

According to the Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, it is great that there are many different countries among the participants of the book exhibition, including Russia. The head of state has no doubts that books help to expand horizons and discover new, unexplored worlds.

Among the Russian books there will be an exhibition of editions released for the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky. The Austrian National Library organizes a special evening in honor of the great Russian writer.
