Russian icons meet contemporary art in Italy

SEE THE INVISIBLE. Russian icons from the Intesa Sanpaolo collection in conversion with Celestial architectures by Valery Koshlyakov exposition opened in Vicenza, The Art Newspaper Russia reports.

The renewed exhibition of icons from the renowned collection of the Intesa Sanpaolo bank includes over 70 works. The exposition is complemented by an immersive installation and of contemporaru artist Valery Koshlyakov.

The installation helps to get inside the world of Russian icons with the help of multisensory content. The design of the exhibition hall, reminiscent of the interiors of an Orthodox church, also contributes to the participation effect. The Russian artist tried to interact with ancient masters through his works. The ''Valery Koshlyakov. Heavenly Architecture'' exposition is avialable in Vicenza until July, 3, 2022.
