Moments of War photo exhibition presented to residents of Netherlands

02.12.2020

The Moments of War photo exhibition was held in the Netherlands. During the week, Russian compatriots, local residents and guests of the country were able to get acquainted with unique historical photographs. Documentary photographs were supplemented by books about battles, events and heroes of the past war, newsreels.

The public learned a lot of new things for themselves, as some of the photos were published quite recently.

The photo exhibition told about the Heroes of the Soviet Union, about the role of women in the rear and at the front. They also paid a lot of attention to schoolchildren - war heroes, told about the role that animals played in wartime. Visitors learned about rare moments of rest, home front workers and much more.

The exhibition was organized by the NNRB society with the assistance of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Organizations and the Moscow Compatriot House.

Unfortunately, due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the opening hours of the studio, as well as the number of visitors, were limited. Therefore, after the end of the pandemic, the photo exhibition will be offered for exposition to other organizations of compatriots in the Netherlands: cultural houses and Russian weekend schools.
