Conference on works of Mikhail Sholokhov held in Cuba

A literary conference dedicated to the work of Mikhail Sholokhov was held in Cuba. It was held in the Universidad del Oriente, in the province of Santiago del Cuba, to coincide with the 115th anniversary of the birth of the writer, Rossotrudnichestvo reports.

Representatives of the university, graduates of educational institutions of Russia and the Soviet Union took part in the scientific forum. They discussed the works of Sholokhov, the main stages of his career. The opening of the photo exhibition and the screening of a documentary film were timed to coincide with the conference. The exposition will be available to viewers until December.

Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Cuba Marat Karimov took part in the events. He discussed with the the prospects for joint work with the university management. In addition, the university received a gift from Rossotrudnichestvo for studying the Russian language and publishing Russian classics.
