Russia has been chosen as one of the most powerful countries in 2019. It was placed at the second place; its position has not changed since 2018. The rating is complied by US News magazine

The United States tops the rating, while China has taken the third place. The top-3 is followed by Germany, the U.K., France and Japan. The top-10 is closed by Israel, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

The rating is based on a survey that asked more than 20 thousand people to evaluate countries based on five criteria: a leader, economically influential, politically influential, strong international alliances and strong military.

The bottom five is occupied by Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Latvia and Estonia.
