Russian hockey team defeated the Italians during the group stage of the World Championship. The game took place in Bratislava on Wednesday, May 15, TASS reports. Having finished the match with a score of 10-0, our national team recorded the biggest victory in history. Russians have already scored ten goals to the enemy more than once, but for the first time they did not miss a single puck.

Nikita Zaitsev opened the score. He became the author of the fastest goal in the tournament, which takes place in Slovakia. Following him, Dinar Hafizullin put the puck into Italian gates. Doubles were marked by Eugene Kuznetsov and Eugene Dadonov. The first points were earned by our most famous hockey players, Alexander Ovechkin and Ilya Kovalchuk. In addition, Nikita Kucherov and Mikhail Grigorenko are also on the list of scorers.

Russian hockey players have not allowed a single defeat in the championship so far, having won all four of their matches. At this stage, they will have one more game. They will meet with the Latvian team in two days. Russians occupy the first place in their group, ahead of the Swiss on the difference between the goals and missed goals.

Russia has practically secured their participation in the next round.
