Russian World and Donbass: from Cooperation to Integration Forum takes place in Donetsk

Representatives of public organizations from the Russian regions came to Donetsk to discuss with their colleagues from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) new areas of cooperation with the unrecognized republics of the Donbass. The Russian World and Donbass: From Cooperation to the Integration of Education, Science, Innovation and Culture Forum takes place in Donetsk on October 23-26. It is held by Donetsk National University, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Center in Donetsk with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

Social activists from Belarus, South Ossetia and even Nicaragua also gathered in the DPR capital.

According to Dmitry Shalygin, a member of the Moscow Region Civic Chamber, the region will continue to provide assistance to children from the south-east of Ukraine. Moscow will invite children from Donetsk and Lugansk to celebrate the New Year with festive performances, carnivals, Christmas programs in the temples, gifts from Father Frost.

Shalygin recalled that over the past two years, about half a thousand different events aimed at strengthening integration with the DPR and LPR have been held in the Moscow region.

Next year, Ryazan will receive more than a hundred Donbass children for treatment in local sanatoriums. Olga Voronova, the deputy head of the Ryazan Region Civic Chamber, explained that the integration program in the region started this year. Within its framework, children from the DPR and LPR were able to relax and improve their health in Ryazan where an excellent children's sanatorium-resort is created.

The social effect of children's programs is very high so the program will be extended for the next year.

The Smolensk regional branch of the Afghan Veterans Union invited the residents of Donbass to join the patriotic action named This is our Victory. According to organization heads Alexey Terletsky it aims to preserve the memory of the people's feat in the Great Patriotic War. The auction will be held for the whole year.

Social activists of the Astrakhan region are ready to assist with the specialized medical care to Donbass residents. Altay Karabalaeva, a representative of the Youth Parliament of the region, says that there is an agreement stipulating that each medical institution will accept one adult and one child from the DPR and the LPR.
