Forum of Russianists to be held in China this spring

riavrn.ruExperts in Russian linguistics from Russia and China will meet at Heilongjiang University, China, next spring, TASS reports. The forum of Russianists is organized by North-Eastern Federal University.

Representatives of Russian university have agreed to organize this forum in the course of their visit to China. They attended Changchun Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang University and visited Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.

Delegation consisting of teachers and university employees was headed by professor of philology department of North-Eastern Federal University Svetlana Petrova.

She has remarked that Russian specialists conducted Olympiad on Russian language in China, they delivered several lectures on Russian literature. Besides, training courses for teachers of Russian language were organized at the University.

The forthcoming forum will become place for experience exchange in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language for Chinese students. North-Eastern Federal University has already arranged similar conferences in Yakutsk and in the capital of South Korea.


North-Eastern Federal University is permanently collaborating with twenty Chinese universities. At present, around a hundred people from China are studying in higher educational institutions of Yakutia. Chinese native speakers have been teaching in North-Eastern Federal University for more than ten years.
