Sergey Lavrov arrives to Beijing

Russian Foreign Minister has initiated his visit to China, TASS reports. He landed in Beijing on Monday, October 16, to participate in the international forum One Belt, One Road (OBOR), set to commence the following day. Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to join the event.

Sergey Lavrov held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. Meanwhile, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto is looking forward to meet with the head of Russian diplomacy, aiming to discuss the escalating conflict between Palestine and Israel. 

One Belt, One Road project, envisioned by Chinese President Xi Jinping, is a major economic project spanning 78 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe, focusing on enhancing connectivity and cooperation. Dubbed the "Project of the Century," it aims to reshape global economic dynamics.

Over 150 countries and over 30 international organizations have already joined the initiative. The upcoming forum marks its third iteration.
