Claude Lelouch and Michel Legrand awarded with Russia's badges of honor

Film director Claude Lelouch and musician Michel Legrand were awarded with badges of honor For Contribution into the Russian Culture. The gala awarding ceremony was held in the capital of France, Culture TV channel informs.

According to Russian Ambassador to France Alexey Meshkov, awarding prominent figures of culture is always great honor. He mentioned that the two nominees remain the standard of high professionalism, a huge talent, innovation and loyalty to the favorite business.

Michel Legrand who is well known in Russia for his music for the Umbrellas of Cherbourg movie was 3 times nominated for the Oscar. The composer, pianist, orchestra conductor and signer was 5 times nominated for the Grammy award.

Claude Lelouch is a founder of the legendary movie a Man and a Woman. He received the main award of the Cannes Film Festival and two Oscars at a time for this movie.
