Center for Open Education in Russian launched in Pakistan

The Center for Open Education in Russian has begun work in the capital of Pakistan, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. It was opened by the Ural State Pedagogical University at the Allama Iqbal Open University. The creation of the center preceded the opening of online Russian language courses. 1,200 people have already enrolled to the course. 

According to the rector of the Russian university Svetlana Minyurova, Russia and Pakistan have a rich history, they have a lot to learn from each other.

In 2023, Russia and Pakistan celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. 

In July, a round table discussion was held on the possibilities of cooperation between the educational systems of Russia and Pakistan, it brought together representatives of the universities of the two countries.
