The Center for Open Education in Russian and Russian Language Training of the Russian Ministry of Education was founded in Caracas. More than 150 locals have begun their studies; during classes they are taught the Russian language and introduced to Russian culture, the website of the Russian Ministry of Education reports.

On behalf of the department, the center was opened by specialists from the Korolenko Glazov State Engineering and Pedagogical University. Representatives of the university purchased modern equipment and textbooks on Russian as a foreign language for the center.

After completing the courses, students will take a test to show their level of Russian language proficiency.

Work on the opening of the Center began in the spring of 2023, when representatives of the Russian university undertook a trip to Latin American countries and negotiated partnerships with colleagues from the countries of the region.
