The Ivanov Brothers SymphoJazz ensemble, the New Ballet Moscow theater and other Russian creative groups became the participants of the Festival of Russian Art, which opened in Venice during the days of world-famous carnival. The festival is introducing the vivid phenomena in Russian culture to Italian public, and it also has a charity function. A lottery in favor of young artists will be held as part of the event, TASS reports.

The festival opened with a performance by Ivanov Brothers SymphoJazz band, which played a new Crossing Time program. Russian musicians will perform at the gala evening in the legendary La Fenice Venetian theater, which will become the main event of the festival. In addition to the concert, a charity lottery and an exhibition of designer jewelry is planned for the evening. The funds collected during the lottery will help gifted students attend painting and sculpture classes in the best educational institutions in the world.

The Winter Rose play staged by New Ballet Moscow Musical Theater of Plastic Ballet will complete the festival. After the show in Venice, the theater will continue touring in Padua.

The festival is part of the Russian Cultural Mission in Venice project, which is held for the 14th time in the cities of Italy. The project is implemented with the participation of Russian Ministry of Culture, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Moscow cultural department.
