The Cherry Orchard play opens Art Forum in Dubrovnik

Rossotrudnichestvo2nd Art Forum Dubrovnik opens in Croatia, Rossotrudnichestvo portal reports. It is dedicated to 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Croatia.

According to organizers this major art project presents remarkable contemporary art from Russia and Balkan countries. Bulgarian, Croatian and Bulgarian theaters to present their performances, also screenings and photo exhibitions will have to take places.

The forum participants were greeted by the head of Russian embassy in Zagreb Anvar Azimov. He marked that the festival has very big potential in creating stronger cultural connections between Croatia and Russia.

The Cherry Orchard play staged by The Ivan Radoev Dramatic Theatre from Bulgaria has opened the festival. There are two other Chekhov plays' productions performed by Držić Theater and guests from Russian capital, July Ensemble theater. Also kids' laboratories, concerts and other events are planned. The festival to conclude November, 5th.
