WorldSkills guests taste dishes of national Tatar cuisine in Abu Dhabi

pixabay.comExhibition stand dedicated to Kazan city, which is to host the next WorldSkills World Championship, was opened in Abu Dhabi where the current tournament is being held, RIA Novosti informs.

Interactive stand occupies almost two hundred square meters and is divided into several zones including WorldSkills Russia Young Professionals exhibition, Kinnect zone and the zone of national bakery especially popular among guests who can taste dishes of national Tatar cuisine there.

Besides, professional cooks lead master classes.

According to organizers, the dishes include famous chak-chak, gubadia and echpochmak with meat and cabbage fillings. They bake 4 big pies and 150 small ones a day. Several hundred visitors come up to the stand per day.

Majority of ingredients are bought right at the venue, but some of them were brought such as red cottage cheese called kort, because there is not such a product in UAE. Unfortunately, there is no cranberry in UAE too, so they cannot cook the cranberry drink for guests.

Echpochmak with meat filling is a special treat for guests; echpochmaks with cabbage filling are cooked for vegetarians.

It is worth reminding that WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 is conducted in the United Arab Emirates. One thousand three hundred young professionals compete for the victory. Almost eighty countries take part in this international movement. More than fifty awards will find their holders.

The national team represents our country for the third time at the championships.
