Yulia Samoilova will represent Russia on Eurovision

28-year-old singer will perform the song Flame is Burning on Eurovision in Kiev. She says that participating in Eurovision was her long-time dream.

Negotiations regarding her participation had been under way for several years beginning from 2014 when Samoilova participated Paralympic games in Sochi. As per Yulia’s press-secretary, the singer was expecting a surgery at the time. After that she confirmed the will to perform at Eurovision. Currently 1 TV Channel crew works on Yulia’s image.

Yulia is always very busy. When she’s not rehearsing she’s taking English lessons.

Yulia Samoilova is physical impaired person. From the very early age she could move around only with a wheel-chair. The mother taught her music and vocals.

Eurovision semifinals will take place at the International Exhibition Centre, Kiev on May 9 and 11, and finals on May 13.
