Russian compatriots from unfriendly states will have the opportunity to submit applications for resettlement to Russia under the state program, already in the country, if they have refugee status, or from the territory of a third state. The amendments to the corresponding law are introduced in a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports.

It is noted that before, according to the rules of the state program for the resettlement of compatriots living outside of Russia, the candidate had to apply for participation to the embassy, consulate or other Russian body in his country of residence. An exception was made for persons living in Russia legally and refugees.

Now, this list includes compatriots who live in unfriendly countries that carry out aggressive actions against Russia, its companies and citizens.
