Head of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin ordered to provide assistance to Russians stranded abroad, TASS reports. This and other instructions were the result of a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council under the Cabinet of Ministers to combat the spread of the new coronavirus.

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to allocate money for these purposes, and the Foreign Ministry should ensure the provision of material support to Russian citizens. The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Sberbank need to prepare a list of steps aimed at supporting those who are not able to return to their homeland.

Specialists of the border service and Rospotrebnadzor organize an electronic form on the Gosuslugi website for those who come to Russia.

Russkiy Mir reported that about 155 thousand Russian citizens returned to their homeland over the past ten days. About 15,000 Russians flew in from countries with which air traffic was limited or terminated.

Starting from March 27, Russia completely stopped air traffic with other countries. From March 30, the state limited traffic through the state border at automobile, pedestrian, rail, river and mixed checkpoints. The aim of these measures is to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus infection.

Earlier, the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, assured that the Russian authorities would not leave their citizens stranded abroad, they would be helped to return home.
