The Journey to Christmas festival opened on Friday, December 13, in the Russian capital, TASS reported. The city administration explained that it would last the whole month and end on January 12 of the coming year.

Festive venues will open throughout the city. The festival program will cover all districts, the center, parks and squares. Many events, promotions, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, open training in winter sports and fairs of Christmas decorations are planned within it.

The House of Goodness will work in the Kamergersky Lane, where adults and children will be told about the work of charitable foundations. Guests will take part in charity actions and exciting creative programs. They will be offered to create home decorations, join art therapy, play chess. There will also be a reader contest, cat show and more.

For the first time, everyone will be invited to decorate the Christmas trees in the center of the capital.

Ice shows are expected to become the most beautiful events of the festival. The ice ballet can be seen not only in the city center, but also at two other venues - in the square near Golyanovsky Pond and on Svyatoozerskaya Street, 1. The organizers promised that the number of ice performances would exceed one and a half hundred. Ice shows will be staged at Revolution Square staged by the famous skater Evgeni Plushenko. These include Swan Lake, the Snow King, and Kings and Ice Queens.

A large-scale Christmas market will be located on Manezhnaya Square. The public will be offered to buy New Year's souvenirs, holiday treats. Christmas mail, a library and much more will open there.
