Three supercomputers developed by Russian specialists are included in the list of five hundred most powerful computers on the planet. The prestigious list includes Christofari by SberCloud, Lomonosov-2 by Lomonosov Moscow State University and the supercomputer by Roshydromet. The list was made public at the SC19 international conference on high-performance computing in Denver, TASS reported.

Christofari, created with the participation of Sberbank, was among the thirty most advanced computers in the world, taking 29th place. Lomonosov-2 took a position at the beginning of the second hundred, and the computer of Roshydromet took 465th place. Almost half of the list was occupied by computers developed in China.

The drafters of the ranking included Russia among the fifteen leading countries of the planet in terms of total computing power. Christofari is considered the most productive computer in Russia. According to the developers, its creation will allow the use of artificial intelligence in business.

Russkiy Mir reported in October that the first prototype of a quantum computer on superconductors was assembled in Russia. The technology can become revolutionary in the high-tech field. According to experts, a quantum computer, the creation of which is being worked out in many countries, will many times surpass the capabilities of the most powerful computers that currently exist.
