Delegates from 85 countries came to Moscow to Forum of Young Diplomats

The Global Forum of Young Diplomats opens on Tuesday, November 13, TASS reports. It will be held in Moscow for the third time in a row. The forum will be attended by more than one and a half hundred people who represent 85 countries, which is much more than a year ago. For the first time, representatives of the United States came to the forum.

The deputy foreign minister of Russia Alexander Grushko and Russian Senator Konstantin Kosachev will speak in front of participants. The prominent actor Stephen Seagal, who is a special representative of the foreign affairs agency for relations between Russia and the United States in the humanitarian sphere is going to be the special guest of the forum.

It is planned to sign a document on cooperation between organizations of young diplomats of Russia and the United Arab Emirates.

The chairman of the Council of young diplomats of the Russian Foreign ministry Konstantin Kolpakov noted that the change in the global world order would be the main topic of the forum. Several round-table discussions and plenary meetings are going to take place.

Note that young diplomats gathered at the Global Forum for the first time two years ago in Sochi. The second forum, also held in Sochi, gathered representatives from 64 countries. The forums are organized by the Council of young diplomats at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has been operating since 2001. The structure considers its tasks to be professional development and personnel motivation, maintaining the traditions of Russian diplomacy and developing the potential of creative and scientific youth.
