The Russian Autumn Culture Festival is held in Hong Kong, TASS reports. It was organized by compatriots from the local Russian club.

One of the central events of the program is an art exhibition. It works in the cultural center of Hong Kong. The works of almost two dozen Russian artists are among the exhibits. They are complemented by artists from several CIS countries.

According to the head of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hong Kong Igor Sagitov, he is pleased that the festival is based on the enthusiasm of the Russians living there. The diplomat noted that the Russian Club made a very large contribution to the promotion of Russian culture in the region.

Russian Autumn has become the third festival in a row. The festival is the largest event aimed at promoting Russian culture. Its program includes various exhibitions, music evenings, performances, film screenings. Within the framework of the festival, meetings are held with students of local higher educational institutions who are studying the Russian language. The festival will help local residents get to know the life of modern Russia, its history and traditions.

In addition, a traditional charity Russian ball is planned in Hong Kong next month. The collected funds will be sent to the wards of the Russian Podari Zhizn (Give a Life) fund.
