Concerts, exhibitions, master classes and film screenings were included in St. Petersburg – Melbourne twin cities 30th anniversary program. Melbourne – Saint Petersburg friendship society has organized celebrations, with support of Saint Petersburg External Relations Committee, city counsel of  Melbourne and honorary consul of Australia in Saint Petersburg Sebastian FitzLyon, Counsel of Russian Compatriots website reports. 

Days of Russia's Northern Capital and the coastal capital of the southeastern Australian state of Victoria were marked by Fyodor Dostoevsky's name. His books are very popular in Australia. Writer's museum from St. Petersburg brought an exhibit, and Australian film version of Crime and Punishment was screened. 

Photography exhibition dedicated to the city and people of the Northern Capital, classical music concerts, master classes for young musicians and artists have taken place during the festival. 

Days of Saint Petersburg are one of the principal events of the extensive programme dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the friendship between two cities. This date has been celebrated during all the year. Days of Melbourne were conducted in Saint Petersburg last April.
