Over 80 Russian cartoons will be translated into Chinese

The Russian film studio Soyuzmultfilm has entered into an agreement with the Chinese company Beijing Joy Culture Media Co to transfer the right to distribute 83 Russian cartoons to Chinese Internet distributors. According to representatives of Soyuzmultfilm, the deal could open the studio access to the Chinese market, TASS reports.

Among the 83 cartoons there are laureates and nominees of prestigious international festivals. According to the director of the Russian film studio Boris Mashkovtsev, representatives of the Chinese company showed interest in short author works, which will be dubbed into Chinese and divided into thematic groups for display on foreign Internet sites.

Note that earlier Chinese distributors showed interest in acquiring rights to display new episodes of the Prostokvashino series, produced by Soyuzmultfilm. Representatives of the film studio announced that they decided to extend the series. New 30 episodes will be released in spring.
