Moscow entered top five of world cultural capitals

Moscow hits the top 5 among the megalopolises of the world for the availability of cultural and leisure facilities for residents of the city, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. Moscow has closed the top five rankings made by the authors of the Growth Challenges. Megaprojects as a tool for balanced development of a megacity study. It was conducted by experts of the international company The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

The report notes that more than sixty percent of citizens have access to cultural and leisure facilities. In addition, for every ten thousand people in the capital there are almost eight community centers, theaters, museums, art galleries and cinemas.

Experts also noticed that the variety of leisure activities is increasing. On average, their growth exceeded twenty-five percent.

In comparison with 2012, residents of 131 territories have more opportunities to spend interesting holidays in the vicinity of their homes. Experts from an international company advise that further development focus should be placed on peripheral areas of the city.
