The International Aerospace Summer School has opened at Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). One hundred and eight students from Chinese partner universities take part in the classes. The main topic of the summer school study this year was 3D modeling and 3D printing, 3Dtoday reports.

The summer school is opened at MAI for the second year in a row. Last summer participants mastered the basics of aircraft modeling. According to the head of the school Alexander Khvan, its advantage is that students acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also applied skills in a week. In addition to lectures, the program includes classes in laboratories where they study the work of a 3D printer and related computer programs.

Students also immerse themselves in the culture of Russia and learn the Russian language.

The MAI Summer School is open to expanding knowledge in the field of aviation among students from different countries, as well as representing Russia on the world stage as a leader in the fields of high technology and innovation. In addition, the project is designed to raise the status of higher technical education in Russia and abroad.
