The international youth art competition is held in Barcelona from May 24 to 26 for the third time during the Russian Alborada festival-competition of Russian classical music. Within the framework of the art competition, artists from 7 to 25 years old draw the characters of operas and fairy tales written by Russian composers, and their sensations from listening to music, the website of Russian-Catalan Sodruzhestvo Cultural Association reports.

The organizers of the competition have previously published the conditions of the competition, indicating ten pieces of music that can be a source of creative inspiration for the participants of the competition. The list includes works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Scriabin and other classical composers. As a result, 20 best drawings will be selected and placed in a special album, which will be awarded to the winners of musical nominations.

Russkiy Mir reported that musicians from 12 to 25 years old take part in the festival-competition of Russian classical music in Barcelona, including singers, choirs, pianists, violinists, ensembles and orchestras. The purpose of the competition is to popularize Russian composers. According to its conditions, each participant must perform a musical work by a Russian author of the 19th or 20th century. Famous performers, teachers and cultural figures will evaluate the performances.
