23.05.2019

American company Bradford Exchange, manufacturing souvenirs, issued a coin for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II with the allied countries, which did not include the USSR.

According to the information on the Bradford Exchange website, on the back of the coin are the flags of the USA, Great Britain and France, and the flag of the USSR is not among them. The company sells such coins for $ 39.99 apiece.

"On the back of the coin are authentic and dramatic images of the Second World War and the dates of the Allied key victories (the anti-Hitler coalition). The front side greet the allies, showing the flags of the United States, Britain and France in color," the description says.

The obverse of the coin depicts the 33rd President of the United States, Harry Truman, and Army General Dwight Eisenhower, who became the 34th President of the United States later. On the reverse, in addition to the flags of the USA, Great Britain and France, there is also a special sign on the 75th anniversary of the Victory, and the anniversary date 1945-2020 below.
