Week of Russian-language children's theater opens in Paris

Theater performances from Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Spain, the Netherlands and Moldova will be shown at the 9th International Week of Russian-language Children's Theater. It will be held from 22 to 29 May as part of the Russian Word, Russian Soul forum, the website of the Association of figures of Russian theaters abroad reports. 

One of the organizers of the festival was the Parisian theater Aprelik, which will present seven productions and programs as part of the Week. Other theaters will show performances based on the works of Nikolay Nosov, Leonid Filatov, Lewis Carroll and other authors. In Paris, there will be a festival premiere of We Are Shadows For Each Other joint performance of theaters from Transnistria and Israel based on the verses of Marina Tsvetaeva. 

In addition to the performances, young artists will become participants of master classes and creative laboratories. As part of the theater week, there will be screenings of films by young directors. In addition, discussions on the development of Russian theaters abroad are planned. 

The festival was organized by the Dialogue of Cultures and Traditions Association, the International Center for Russian Language and Theater in Paris with the assistance of Russian Embassy in France, Russian Orthodox Cultural Center in Paris and other organizations.
