Russian language contest held in Beijing

The competition in Russian language has been held in the Chinese capital on the basis of Beijing Normal University, the website of Rossotrudnichestvo reports. To Moscow! competition is held every year with the support of the Moscow State Pedagogical University.  Winners get the opportunity to go to the Russian capital to continue their education for free.

About eighty people competed for victory this year. They represented institutions of higher education from all over China. Contest was held in two stages. Participants had to cope with written assignments and answer interview questions.

At the opening ceremony of the competition, the speakers emphasized that the Russian language was the ground for interaction in the scientific, cultural, educational and economic fields. It is also of great importance as a means of inter-ethnic communication both in the international arena and in the lives of ordinary people.

Next month the representatives of Beijing University will go to Moscow to take part in Russian competition in Chinese language – To Beijing.
