Saint Petersburg is considered the most cultural city in Russia, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. These are the results of a survey conducted by Tvil.ru website. It was timed to the Day of Cultural Worker, which is celebrated in Russia on Monday, March 25.

74% of respondents voted for the city. Capital of Tatarstan took the second place. Kazan was chosen by 7% of respondents. Yaroslavl took the third place with 5% score. Yekaterinburg took the 4th place. Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod both took the 5th place.

Note, the Day of Cultural Worker entered the calendar of professional holidays in 2008. Employees of museums, libraries, theaters, concert organizations, clubs, specialists from houses of culture and representatives of artistic groups celebrate it.

Moscow Cultural Forum has been timed to the holiday starting from 2016. This year it started on Friday, March 22. Its program includes more than a hundred theatrical events, discussions, creative meetings and many other actions.

Residents and guests of the capital are invited to visit the museums of Vladimir Vysotsky, Mikhail Bulgakov, Marina Tsvetaeva for free. New Manege, the Museum of Cosmonautics, the Darwin Museum, the Tsaritsyno Museum and many other museums are waiting for visitors.
