International tour of winners of Andrei Stenin competition concludes in Germany

Thirty photographs created by young authors from Russia, Spain, Iran, Israel, South Africa and other countries will be presented to residents of Berlin. The exhibition of the winners of the international photojournalism competition named after Andrei Stenin will open on March 25 at Russian House of Science and Culture in German capital. This exposition will complete the world tour of the exhibition, during which pictures of young photographers were presented in 12 countries, Berlin Telegraph reports.

The exhibition will work until April 7. It was introduced on November 2, 2018 at the UN headquarters. The UN Deputy Secretary General for Communications and Public Information Alison Smale and the representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya attended the opening. Works of contest winners, which were created in different parts of the world, reflect anti-war theme. The exhibition was brought to Russia, the USA, China, India, Argentina, Lebanon, Spain, Belgium, South Africa, Japan, the Czech Republic and Israel.

Russkiy Mir reported that more than 6000 photos by authors from 77 countries took part in the competition of 2018. It was the largest and most representative competition in history. The project is dedicated to the memory of Russian photographer Andrei Stenin. He died in the summer of 2014, carrying out his professional activities in Donetsk region during the fighting.
