Tell The World About Your Russia contest announced call for applications

Tell The World About Your Russia contest has become international. Works will now be accepted not only in Russian, but also in English and French. Participants are suggested to create a video presentation or text page with a story about their homeland, themselves or an event from Russian history. These presentations should be interesting and informative for participants’ peers from different countries. Best works will be posted on the Internet, and the winners will be awarded, the website of the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia reports.

The competition was organized by Ministry of Education of Russia, National Parental Association for Social Family Support and Family Values ​​Protection, Academy for Innovative Education and Development.

The competition is held in two nominations. Participants who choose a video format should create videos of 90 seconds that tell about events in Russia and their homeland in English or French. Children under 11 years old can write a story in Russian, but provide it with English subtitles. Those who are more comfortable in explaining their love for their country in text can send a text page with illustrations in English and French to the organizing committee of the competition.

The best participants will be determined in four age groups; the youngest group is for those who are up to 10 years old, the oldest one starts from 18. Applications and entries are accepted until May 31, after which the expert commission and expert jury will start their work. They will announce the names of the winners in September 2019. The best participants will be awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes. Experts will evaluate the originality of the idea, creative approach, and how the presented work corresponds to the main goal of competition. It is about establishing good relations between young compatriots living in Russia and abroad, children and teenagers from other countries.
