Coordinating Councils of Russian Compatriots of Australia and the United States held the teleconference devoted to the exchange of experience and developments in conducting events. Leaders and members of the councils attended the meeting. They discussed the organization of Russian schools abroad and holding large-scale actions. Compatriots arranged to hold teleconferences regularly during Russian national holidays, the website of the Council of Russian Compatriots in Australia reports.

Geographical distance and time difference, reaching 16 hours, did not prevent the full-fledged dialogue of compatriots living in Australia and the United States. The Internet conference was mostly instructive and had the goal of introducing the representatives of KSORS of the two countries. After the dialogue was established, the participants spoke about the most important initiatives and activities that were organized by the KSORS. During the conversation, Australians and Americans found that action program and problems encountered in their work are very similar.

The parties shared their experience in solving various issues. Director of Mosaic Australian school spoke about the initiative to create a committee on the educational activities of Russian schools and Russian language teachers at KSORS. It helps to establish practical interaction between schools and teachers in different cities of Australia. Head of KSORS youth association in the USA Igor Kochan told about the coordination of the Immortal Regiment campaign in various US cities and about the experience of organizing patriotic actions.

The participants of teleconference agreed on regular contacts, as well as on communication via the Internet on National Unity Day and Russia Day.
