Most famous Russian paintings expo in Macau

The first large exhibition of paintings by Russian artists started its work in Macau (China), Russian Art Gallery reported on Facebook. Tretyakov Gallery introduced the masterpieces of pictorial art to local audience. This exposition became the first attempt of collaboration between Macao Museum of Art and Tretyakov Gallery.

The exhibition was eagerly awaited in Macau. It includes many works of famous artists. Many paintings belong to the exposition of one of the most well known Russian museums, including works of Surikov, Repin, Shishkin, Makovsky, Kramsky and many other artists. 

The exposition includes 70 paintings. One of them is the picture drawn by Alexey Leonov, the first man in outer space. 

The expo presents different periods from classical realistic art to modernist style and socialist realism. Audience will see the views of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, landscapes of Russian nature, still life works and portraits. 

The exhibition is a unique opportunity for residents and visitors in Macau to learn more about Russian culture, nature and architecture, and Russian people. 

As Russkiy Mir reported, Tretyakov Gallery held the exhibition in Vatican this year. The paintings from collection were also presented in Tokyo.
