14.12.2018

The Russian Center and the Department of Slavic Philology of the University of Pecs (southern Hungary) held a quiz dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev for third-year philology students.

Students have already studied the works of the writer such as Rudin, Fathers and Sons, different prose poems and many others. The quiz questions related to the biography of the celebrated Russian author, his childhood, literary career, translation activities and the content of the books. They had to answer what the symbol of Rudin’s talent is, define the genre of Conversation and other questions.

The winners of the quiz received prizes with symbols of the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the University of Pecs, as well as the certificates of participation.

December 13 was the last day of classes in the fall semester and the students were very pleased to end the studies with such a pleasant surprise. They also decided to read other works of the Russian classic in the future.

On the same day, the Russian language courses organized by the Russian Center also ended that day. Students shared their impressions about the courses and expressed a desire to continue their studies in the next semester.
