Russian bass opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov opened new La Scala season, TASS reports. He performed in Verdi's Attila on a legendary stage  December 7.

Famous singer compared Milan's La Scala  with Muslims Mecca because everybody dreams to perform there or  get there to see an opera.  Abdrazakov has reminded that La Scala is very particular for him because his international career has started from this stage.

Patriotic opera tells about the fight of the Adriatic Sea natives with invaders.

For Attila part Ildar Abdrazakov was earlier called “The Best Bass of the World”. Just recently the singer performed in Ernani, another heroic drama of Verdi. One month ago the singer had his third solo concert in the theater.

Note, one year ago new season at La Scala opened Russian star Anna Netrebko with her husband tenor Yusif Eyvazov. They performed in Andrea Chénie opera by Umberto Giordano.
