Omsk city brought Tales of Siberia to India

Omsk represented Russia at Metropolis, the biggest cultural forum of Asia, held in Indian town of Shillong, Vecherniy Omsk reports. There are no restrictions for the participants so the forum boasts the art of all genres and kinds. It gives the chance to watch street dancers performances and film screenings, meet craftsmen, enjoy the work of artists, poets and writers. 

Writers, artists and other cultural luminaries from all over the country along with foreign guests visit the forum. 

The team from Omsk entertained the public with several art performances. The main character of one of them was the famous Petruchka character. Russian folk songs were played at Russian Hospitality Day and guests enjoyed pancakes with honey and huckleberries. 

Designer and stylist Yana Brash brought a fashion show to India. According to her, the main theme of the festival was careful treatment of environment. The designer presented her on models dedicated to ecology. Master classes in Russian hair weaving were also very popular among the visitors.

The Indians warmly welcomed the performance of singer Eugenia Amartseva who sang Siberian songs.

The organizers of the festival called the Omsk project "Tales of Siberia" the most interesting of all at Metropolis. 

The guests from Omsk created a real Siberian town in the center of the festival. The spectators were excited with everything happening at the site. The Indians enjoyed Russian specialties, asked questions, listened to songs and danced with the Siberians.
