During its session the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has confirmed reinstatement of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) in its rights, TASS reports. Now RUSADA is considered to meet the requirements of the Anti-Doping Code. Voting took place on September 20 at the meeting of the 12-member WADA Executive Committee held in Seychelles. Nine people supported the verdict, one abstained, two members opposed it.

As Russkiy Mir reported, three years ago WADA accused RUSADA of violating the code and suspended its membership.

Then WADA decided not to restore the RUSADA membership. According to the international organization, the Russian side did not fulfill two requirements: it did not recognize the conclusions made by the McLaren Commission on Russian athletes doping and it refused to give access to doping tests.

RUSADA regains its rights on condition of WADA's access to the database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory this year. Previously, it was sealed in connection with the federal investigation. If Russia does not fulfill it, restrictions will be imposed on RUSADA again.
