The photo exhibition called The Most Beautiful Country dedicated to Russia has been launched in the parliament of Argentina, International Life newspaper reports. The event is timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries.

Russian Ambassador in Buenos Aires Dmitry Feoktistov called this exhibition crusial. He is convinced that such events contribute to the rapprochement of Russians and Argentinian. According to the diplomat, now when the situation on the international arena is not developing in the best way, the Russians and Argentines should be interested in each other, know and understand each other.

The exhibition presents the winners' works of the same name photo contest held by the Russian Geographical Society for several years. The best pictures were chosen from hundreds of thousands photos sent to the contest. Not only Russians are among the authors but also residents of many other countries.

Carlos Gaston Roma, the head of the Argentine Parliament friendship with Russia group, believes that the photo exhibition will promote Russian culture. He does not doubt that it will help to advert interest to Russia.

The parliamentarian notes the importance of creating prerequisites for the relations development that can not be affected by geopolitics or the economic situation. Cultural, academic and student exchange occupy a special place. Today in Argentina there is a growing popularity of Russian education, and this serves as a basis for strengthening bilateral relations.
