Dmitri Shein, Russian by origin, is going to put forward his candidacy for Alaska representing in the lower chamber of Congress, RIA Novosti reports. He is willing to occupy the only seat in the House of Representatives. Former Russian will be a competitor to three other candidates from Democratic Party at primaries, taking place on August 21. 

Dimitri Shein was born in Vladivostok. When he turned 12, his mother took him overseas. At first, the family had to live in the shelter. They moved to ordinary house over time, his mother was working in Walmart and gaining education meanwhile. Mr. Shein himself also graduated from college and afterwards received his Master degree. 

Searching for grants for the Alaskan rural area projects became the first Dmitri's business project. Then Dmitri started an e-commerce company that produced and sold products of his own design. 

Dimitri and his wife Melissa are the parents of 6 children, 4 of them have been adopted. 

Dimitri promises to support all Alaska residents with a universal health care system, as well as distribution of eco-friendly types of energy. Moreover, Dmitri intends to ensure protection for small and medium-sized businesses, as, in his opinion, large business now "dictates its terms to Alaska authorities."
