Russian President has made several proposals during the
summit with his American counterpart in Helsinki. “It is high time to unfreeze Russian-American social humanitarian and cultural ties. In this regard, we have made a proposal to the US President Donald Trump to think over practical questions and build up a philosophy of bilateral relations for a long-term perspective,” RIA Novosti quoted Vladimir Putin.
Russian leader has shared that he proposed to the US to set up a joint expert center for finding ways to resolve problems in the bilateral relations. It should consist of influential Russian and American politicians, scientists, former prominent diplomats and military.
Russia has also passed a range of propositions to the US concerning global security. It concerns cooperation in the field of strategic stability and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
We believe it is necessary to combine our efforts to work out a complex of military-political and self-defeating profiles in order to prolong agreement on strategic offensive armament, here comes a dangerous situation around development of elements of the global system of American ballistic missile defense and fulfillment of agreement about liquidation of intermediate and short range missiles as well as placement weapons in open space,” Russian President said.
Another Russian initiative is setting up a target group consisting of experts of anti-terrorist special services.
