Belarus-Russia Union States’ day celebrated at Slavianski Bazar festival in Vitebsk

Belarus-Russia Union States’ Day is declared on July 13 at the large-scale festival held in Vitebsk, the Russian newspaper informs.
 
Festival with participation of many famous figures of art from different countries is held in Belarus for more than a quarter of a century.
 
Agenda of the Union States’ Day is divided into two parts - official and cultural projects. The first part of agenda has started with ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Flame. It also comprises the round table called Role of Regional Museums in Intercultural Cooperation of Belarus and Russia: Current State and Development Perspectives.
 
Contest of ceramics’ craftsmen started July 13. Almost 50 pot-makers who came from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and other countries are going to compete for the victory for these three days.
 
The main part of the cultural agenda is to take place in the evening. Goran Bregovich and Emir Kusturica and their troupes are going to present their projects in Vitebsk. Many residents and city guests are anticipating the late evening when the Golden Hit concert is to be held. Russian and Soviet pop stars are going to take part in this concert. Tickets for the concert were sold out like hot pies.

The star named after People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Rosa Rymbayeva will decorate the festival square.
 
As the Russkiy Mir Foundation reported earlier, Slavianski Bazar festival organizers prepared an extensive program with participation of people from the Slavic countries and other European states. Overall, several dozens of concerts, exhibitions, contests and even theatre premieres are planned for these days.
 
Festival in Vitebsk will last until July 17.
