Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation expressed serious concerns on a greater number of Donbass conflict victims among the civil population, according to the report presented by the Russian Foreign Ministry to the UN observers about human rights situation in Ukraine.

“We have great concerns realizing that there is 11 % growth of victims of Donbass conflict among the civilians over the covered period,” Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The document points out that a number of victims has grown by 11 % over 4 months of this year. 19 people died and 62 were wounded over this time.
The civilians die mainly due to multiple launch rocket systems’ shootings of the accommodation units, institutions and infrastructure objects. The number of victims from the mine firing stays very high as well.

Russian diplomats have claimed that it is unacceptable to shoot at filtration plants and power stations as faults in their work lead to catastrophic aftermath for the region.

Observers have also registered multiple facts of unwarranted arrests, tortures, non-abusive and sexual violations in the regions neighboring with the line of demarcation. A larger part of crimes was committed in the territory of Ukraine and Ukrainian Security Services.

Russian Foreign Ministry has mentioned that the problems were found not in Donbass along. The overall level of human rights’ violations in Ukraine is critically high.
