Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation

Russia would acknowledge Malaysian Boeing crash investigation results in case it our country fully participates in it, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said. He has reminded that Moscow, in its turn, have proposed its assistance to the investigation team numerous times, Izvestia newspaper informs. Nevertheless, national experts were not allowed to lead the investigation of this tragedy.

Putin has mentioned that, at this, the Ukrainians are actively participating in the process of investigation, though Kiev violated the international rules refusing to close the air area over the zone of military operations.

A press conference was held in the Netherlands the day before where the investigation results were announced. It has turned out that it is not still clear who and why hit the Boeing.

Russian Defense Ministry believes that the international investigation team must rely on facts and eyewitnesses’ reports only. Russian Foreign Ministry has stated that the information provided by Russia was not taken into consideration.

Note, all information provided by Russia was fully ignored by the joint investigation team dealing with Boeing crash over the Donbass sky in 2014. This was the comment by the Russian Foreign Ministry on the statement that the missile launcher having hit the Boeing was produced in Russia and allegedly belonged to the 53d air defence missile brigade near Kursk. The corresponding official statement was published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
